It is 8:30 pm and we are still waiting on my brother Paul’s friend Enoch to get here.  He traveled yesterday and he has traveled all day today and he is still not here.  We have been expecting him since 4:00.  Steve has talked to him several times today.  He left Kumasi early this morning.  The last time Steve talked to him he said he was somewhere between Tamale and Yendi but he had no idea where.  He probably got stuck on one of those public transport vehicles that stops at every village along the way to either drop off people or pick them up.  Supper is waiting on Enoch when he gets here.  He may be too tired to eat and just want a shower and a place to sleep.

Solomon the motorcycle repair man came and fixed the clutch in the motor king.  While he was here he asked Steve if he could use some of his tools and carburetor cleaner to fix his own motorcycle.   Isn’t that funny the mechanic asking for tools?

The new used refrigerator that we bought seems to be cooling for the moment anyway.  Nazo has never had a refrigerator but he was the first to load the refrigerator that we put in the storage shed so the workers could have cool water.  This morning I went to check to see how it was cooling and Nazo had filled the freezer with bagged water of course it had expanded and frozen to the bottom and walls of the freezer.  We had a difficult time getting them loose.  Nazo was surprised that it would make “ice blocks”.

We spent the morning working on the social security tax and the IRS tax.  Mr. Iddrisu had made a mistake when he paid them in January and February; he forgot that we had given everyone a raise so we had to refigure and pay back the extra amount to cover the raises.  Then we had to figure the withholding tax.

We spent a good portion of the afternoon hunting for the receipt for the hotel that we stayed in when we first got back to Ghana.  I hate hunting for stuff; it is such a waste of time but we needed it so we could pay the withholding tax.  Finally a few minutes ago Steve found it!  Happy day!  Actually to be honest I had quit looking for it and gone back to cutting out quilt blocks!  Ha!

A grandmother came today with her 4 month old grandchild.  The mother had stopped breastfeeding the baby because she had a swollen breast; come to find out the girl was a student and had gone to stay somewhere else and had left the baby for the grandmother to care for.

Have a great day!

In His Service, Steve and Kandie
