Red is still here; it is past 6:00.  He is working late today because he is trying to get all the jobs that he has started and been paid for finished so he can get on to doing projects that will make money.  He had his son and another guy come this morning and continue attaching the razor wire to the “T” posts.  Red came a little later and he started attaching the “T” post to the gates.  Tomorrow he will come back and hang the razor wire on the gates.  Nazo stayed late and helped him.

Mr. Iddrisu and Nazo were at the Ghana Card office first thing this morning.  They came back around 9:00 and neither of them had gotten the number for their Ghana Card.  They were able to find Mr. Iddrisu’s in the computer but were not able to generate the number but they could not even find Nazo’s form.  They told him that he was actually lucky because since they could not find him in the system they would reenter his information and take another photo of him and they should be able to print out the card.  They are not sure if they can print Mr. Iddrisu’s card or if they have to wait for the computer to print all of those in front of him.  Whatever!  If it is not one thing it is 2 others!  They are going to go back tomorrow morning and be there before the officers come to work.

Zorash’s brother is sick; he went to the clinic near the mission house yesterday for some testing  and he was going to go somewhere else today for tests so Zorash did not come to work; she went with him to the doctor.  She said that his problem was excess urination.  We asked her if they checked him for diabetes; she said they did but that it did not show that there was a problem.  We are not sure how old he is but he is probably in his 50’s.  Maybe she will know something tomorrow.

We were short-handed in the Center because Zorash was out.  We had a steady stream of mothers and babies today.  Tuesday is usually our busiest day because the clinic near us gives immunizations on Tuesday.  The mothers stop by the Child Center to get Tylenol for the little ones that got a shot.  We saw 41 babies this morning.  None of them were in terrible shape.  We had a couple children that were low weight; we started giving weaning mix too. They should start putting on weight fairly quickly.

Late this afternoon we got a call from the tax office to let us know that they figured out how to enter new phone numbers in the employees files online so that we can finish helping them file their annual tax returns.  Steve went into the portal and tried the numbers.  Fortunately new phone numbers had been added to Nazo and Amama’s files but they did not fix mine.  We will have to go back to their office tomorrow to see if they can fix mine.  Please give me strength!

Take care and have a great day!

In His Service,

Steve and Kandie
