Timothy Niligrini, the evangelist, got another lesson translated.  Steve will get it printed for the class at the end of the month.  I can’t tell who is more excited about the translated lessons, Timothy or the church leaders.  This is definitely something that we will have to do more of.  It is a blessing having Timothy to interpret the lessons because we know he is doctrinally sound.

Amama brought us more okra today.  I cut half of it up to put in the freezer and the other half I was planning on cooking for tonight but we have too many leftovers so I am not doing any real cooking; just warming up.  Fortunately Steve is not a very picky eater; he eats whatever without complaining and he does not mind leftovers.  It always makes me smile when we have leftovers and someone prays, “Thank you for the hands that prepared this food”; when really they should be praying, “Thank you for the hands that repaired this food!”  Ha!

Mr. Iddrisu started hauling gravel and filling the places in the yard that have washed out because of erosion; especially along the lane that leads to the back of the property.  We will need the lane in good shape when we start building the training center.

Tichak, one of the night watchmen called a little while ago and said that he was sick and could not come to work tonight.  He said that he has catarrh (which means he has a cold).  Now I must ask, “How many of you have gone to work when you had a cold?”  The truth is he does not want to sleep outside in the open air when he has a cold; the nights can get bitterly cold!  Sometimes the temperature drops down into the 70’s which seems very cold to the Ghanaians.

Zorash called this afternoon and said that her nephew who she is raising has been worrying her for a soccer ball; she wanted to know if we had a used one that he could have.  We looked around and found one but it would not hold air.  Zorash said she did not care; she said that the men who repair tires would be able to patch it.  She came to the mission house this afternoon to pick it up.  Suheyne was on the motorcycle with her; he was happy to get the ball; of course he would have been happier if he could have started playing with it straight away.

Thank you for all you do for the work here in Ghana and all over the world.

In HIS Service,

Steve and Kandie
