We spent a long time last night trying to get plane tickets to attend the family reunion that will be in June and then we spent a couple hours this afternoon trying to get tickets.  It appears that a couple of the airlines have blocked us from fully visiting their websites; probably because they can tell that we are not in the United States.  We finally got tickets but we had to buy them through a third party; Expedia.  Well, at least we got the tickets and also the rental car.  Hope there are no hiccups along the way because I am not sure how refunds work when booking through a third party.  Both the in and out flights are “Red Eye” flights; lucky me.  When we booked the tickets they had posted a picture of a red eye by the flight!  Sort of like at a restaurant when they put a red chili pepper beside the entrée to let you know that it is spicy!

We spent the rest of the day trying to get things closed up, put away and covered up.  I sure did miss our house help today; I had to clean out the refrigerator all by myself!  I know I am spoiled!

We finished entering receipts and rewrote and edited the minutes of the meeting we had with the employees a couple days ago.

Nazo came back today; he has been out the past few weeks for his annual leave.  We missed him and the yard missed him too.   He is the one that rakes leaves everyday and keeps the grounds looking neat.

I forgot to tell you that on Sunday morning as we were getting ready to leave for worship one of the neighbors came to the gate with a hunter that had a gun.   He said that he had come to kill his guinea fowls that were roosting and living inside the wall at the back of the property.  Guinea fowl can fly; they fly over the wall every day.  Steve let him know in no uncertain terms that he was not allowed to shoot a gun on the mission property.  Steve is not allowed to shoot a gun so why should he come and want to shoot.  Steve told him that he was free to go to the back property and chase the guinea fowl back over to his side of the wall and shoot them there.  Later we heard that the other neighbors were not happy because many of them also have guinea fowl and not all the guinea fowl in this area belong to him.  They say they can tell whose animals are whose but really all the guinea fowl look alike to me!

This afternoon we heard a chain saw so Steve went to investigate.  One of the homeowners on the east side of the mission house has decided to open a new road to his house so he is cutting down all the trees that will be in the way of the road; of course it will just be a gravel road.  That side of the mission house was demarcated for a road when they laid out this section of the town but people have encroached and built houses at the other end.  The man only wants to construct the road to his house; so I guess it is really a half road.

Thank you for the love, prayers and support.

In HIS Service,

Steve and Kandie
