I almost forgot to write the Yendi Notes tonight.  I usually write them before supper but we had a late supper tonight and I dozed off while we were watching a movie.  When I woke up it was almost bedtime and I had forgotten about the Yendi Notes.  I feel pretty good!  I think taking a nap before going to bed might be my new favorite thing!  Ha!

Nazo told us that 2 of his friends / neighbors had new babies.  That was his hint that he would like baby clothes to take to the Outdooring (sort of like a baby shower).  Both of the new babies were boys so we fixed him up a bag with baby clothes, receiving blankets, baby soap, talcum powder and baby socks for each baby.  The mothers will appreciate the baby clothes.

It was very hot again today; the high temperature was 109 degrees with a heat index of 130 degrees.  But late this afternoon we got rain!  Oh! Happy Day!  We got a nice rain and it cooled things off!  What a wonderful relief from the heat!

After the rain stopped we went to town and bought some fruit.  We bought a couple watermelons; they are in season right now.  We also bought pineapple, regular apples and some of the big hybrid mangos.

Steve spent the morning gathering and printing the stuff for the visa renewal.  He got everything that was on the list of requirements plus a copy of all the things they have asked for in years past.  The requirements are always changing.  This time they asked for a criminal background check and a medical certificate.  Steve called Ms. Emma, the officer in charge of the quotas and she said that Steve did not need the criminal check or the medical certificate because his was a renewal.  Steve already had a current criminal background check so he included it with the documents.  We don’t want to be in Accra trying to turn the document in on our way back to the states only to realize that we do not have all the documents we need so he is taking a copy of anything and everything that we think the quota committee might ask for.

This afternoon Steve got the next lesson for the monthly class edited.  He is in the process of making copies for the students and collating them.  He is struggling with the copier but then there is nothing new about that!

Time for me to go back to bed!

In His Service,

Steve and Kandie
