Kandie and I were up early this morning working on the annual audit and other financial items before we left the house.  Tis the season to have many things on our plate as we make ready for the seminar later next week and preparing the financial books before we leave Ghana in two weeks.

The plan for today was to visit the congregation at Niliyuundo, south of Yendi but Timothy was not able to make contact with the church leader so we went to Kulkpeni instead. The brother who was scheduled to preach at Kulkpeni had traveled so I was asked to do the job.

It has been a long time since we have been to Kulkpeni for a morning service.  The women don’t come at night as they should so it is men whom we see all the time at evening bible study.  I encouraged the congregation by preaching a lesson from 1 Thessalonians 5:11-18.  Within these verses Paul, the apostle, encourages the brethren to pray without ceasing and not repaying evil for evil. I think everyone can use that advice.

The Child Center is sponsoring the seminar next week so we felt the need to give the church some money to cover the cost of the electricity bill.  There will be cell phones everywhere and that isn’t counting the lighting and fans that will be used. The Church was grateful for the money.  After services plans were made as to what time this afternoon they would be coming to clean up the rooms and making the outside grounds presentable.

After returning back to house we packed up the truck and headed for Tamale. On the way we dropped off 5 gallons of emulsion paint for the men to use this afternoon. We are spending the night in Tamale.

We plan to go to the employee pension insurance office first thing in the morning and then go to the bank.  After that we will go to the Lands Commission office to see if we can indeed pick up the land papers.   From there we have to submit our Social Welfare report.

Please keep us in your prayers for the next 2 weeks. We have a lot going on and we need the Lord’s help to make it a success! Have a Good Lord’s Day. May God bless!

In His service,

Stephen and Kandie Taylor
