We had several visitors today.  We met Abdullah, the guy that called yesterday, Papa Zachariah and Red but we missed seeing Mr. Oldman.  We had gone to town to buy benches for the churches.  Steve likes to take the churches a gift when we visit them.  Mr. Oldman is our neighbor so he can pop in at any time.

We had Red come this afternoon so we could draw up the plans for our next project for the churches.  We decided to try and make metal tables for the Lord ’s Supper.  Some of the ones the churches are presently using are in terrible shape.  The wood is not very strong and the termites play havoc with anything that is made of wood; even if it is painted.

Red is going to make a sample.  We will see if we like it and if it needs any improvements.  Red has a welding shop but he does not make tables.  Mostly he makes doors and windows.  I figure that if you can make a door and window with frames and hinges you can surely make a table.  We also need to get an idea of how much it is going to cost because we will need to make 35 or 40 tables so each congregation can have one.

It drizzled off and on most of the day which kept things cooler so we are not complaining!  Traditionally September is our rainiest month.  The cistern / reservoir is completely full so we had Nazo wash a couple of the vehicles this afternoon.  The van still stinks; remember it had a dead cat in it last year!  My sister sent me some “Odor Be Gone” crystals.  We are going to try that to see if it will work.  Who knew there was such a product?  We will let you know how it works.  She also sent us air fresheners for vehicle air vents. Hopefully we can get rid of the smell.

Steve got all the suitcases and tubs unpacked today; we got most of it put away.  While we were unpacking we found some cute baby clothes for Red’s new twin sons.  Red might not be all that pleased with the baby clothes but his wife will be.

Please continue to pray for the work here in Ghana.

In His Service,

Steve and Kandie
