Happy Mother’s Day !  I hope you let your mother know you appreciated her if she is living. If not, you can reminisce about the good times and the sacrifices she gave and made for you. Great memories last a lifetime. Mothers and motherhood is a God given blessing.

We started our day by finishing the last minute items needed to close up the house.  Things like turning off all the switches and electrical appliances, bleaching toilets and sinks, putting dishes away, etc. . We found some termites working the plywood on the floor of our bedroom office several weeks ago so I mixed up some chemicals and applied it in several holes in the cement to help deter them.

At 9:30 we were at Kulkpeni for worship. Red, our part time driver, had planned to ride out with us to wait while we were at services but he called and said he had a funeral to attend. He would join us between 10 and 11:00 am at the church building.

After services were over we said our goodbyes and told the brethren we would send their greeting to the folks back home.  Red was Johnny -on –the- spot so we were able to leave for Tamale and the airport.

We had plenty of time to go to the cultural center and get some lunch before going on to the airport.  Our flight to Accra was on schedule and we made it to the hotel at 7pm.

We turned around after getting all our stuff into our room and walked down several blocks to a section of the neighborhood named Pig Farm to buy a pizza.  It was just spitting rain at the time so we nixed the idea of getting a taxi which was a big mistake. Kandie had just ordered our pizza when the bottom fell out of the clouds.  We decided to eat in the restaurant and wait it out. When the downpour turned into a light rain we decided to walk back to the room.  We cut the pizza box in half to use as an umbrella but I was still a drowned rat by the time we got back. The only blessing was the weather is so hot the rain wasn’t cold.

Hope you had a great Lord’s Day and please keep us in your prayers for a safe return. May God bless!

In His service,

Stephen and Kandie Taylor
