There is nothing really “note worthy” about today’s activities!  We had rather a slow day because of the rain.  Now we are not complaining about the rain because there are people all over Northern Ghana that are crying for rain.  When we got to the hotel /apartment last night it was sprinkling; a while later it was pouring!  It rained all night long; sometimes hard and sometimes just a light steady rain.  It rained until about 11:00 this morning.  When we left the hotel in search of something to eat it had almost stopped raining.  We hired a taxi and went to another area of Accra for lunch.  The last couple times we have been in Accra we saw a Lebanese restaurant which we had never eaten at.  We decided to give the new restaurant a try.  We love Lebanese and Mediterranean food!  This place did not disappoint us!  The food was wonderful and had just the right amount of garlic!  It is actually run by Lebanese.  We had Baba Ghanoush (eggplant dip with Pita bread), Tabouli (parsley salad), Shawarmas (similar to Gyros – Pita bread sandwich); everything was delicious.  It is definitely a place we will go back to.

After lunch we went to the Cultural Center to do a little shopping.  We only bought a couple things because all of our suitcases are already filled.  Imagine that!  We will put the things we bought this morning in our carry-ons.

I spent the afternoon backing up the memory sticks and the computer.  It is something I have not done since 2020.  We would be in serious trouble if “the Brain” got corrupted.  I call our main memory stick “the Brain”.  I did not get everything backed up because I started writing instead and entering the Ghanaian proverbs and stories I have been collecting.  That is more fun than backing up a computer!

Please keep us in your prayers as we travel.  The next time you hear from us hopefully we will be safely back in the States!  “There is no place like HOME!”

Have a great day!

Steve and Kandie
