It rained a little bit before we went to bed and then it drizzled all night.  It continued to drizzle until about 8:00 this morning.  When we went for our walk it was still drizzling but it was wonderful!  The temperature had dropped during the night.  The overnight low was 72 degrees!  Time to drag out the winter coats and toboggans!

Red and his helper worked longer today than they have any of the other days; they did not close until around 3:00.  He said that they were taking advantage of the cooler weather.  The high temperature today was 98 degrees but we had 90 % humidity.

The air conditioner in our bedroom was not cooling all that well last night so first thing this morning we cleaned it.  This is a split unit and the fan is terrible about getting dust and mildew on it.  The fan is a long cylinder and has many tiny spines.  When it gets too much build up the air cannot come out into the room even though it is cooling.  It is a mess to clean; we have to cover everything on the desks and tables with plastic.  It is cooling much better now.

We took the truck to Gomda this morning.  The problem was the clutch; he had to order the clutch plate from Tamale.  We were not sure that he would be able to get the part and put it back together today.  We really needed it to drive tomorrow when we go visit the churches of Tombu and Bungbali.  Late this afternoon we took mangoes into town to give away and we stopped just to see if he had gotten it finished.  We were pleased that it was sitting there ready to go!  Steve has the 2 metal communion tables packed and ready to load.  He broke down a cardboard box and put it between the tables so the paint will not get scratched up.  The table will not sit side by side in the bed of the truck; they have to be stacked on top of each other.

Dawda, the mason, stopped by for a visit; I think he really wanted mangoes.  He went to the back field and found a bunch!  His family will be happy to see him coming home!

I was able to sew for a couple hours this afternoon which is something I have been too busy the past couple weeks to do.  I am making a sampler for Timothy Niligrini of various things he can do with a sewing machine that has a zig-zag stitch and a couple of specialty stitches.

Thank you for the love and support.  Please continue to pray for us and for the work.

In His Service,

Steve and Kandie
