We slept till 8:15 this morning. My cough and sniffles kept me and Kandie up part of the night so it felt good to stay in bed a little longer. There hadn’t been a congregation scheduled for today for us to visit so we went out to Kulkpeni for worship.
We had some extra time before services started so we along with some of the male church members surveyed the property in anticipation of where to begin building the wall. Before we can start there has to be loads of gravel brought in so concrete blocks can be made to make the wall. Some of us will have to make arrangements to go see the Kulkpeni chief to work out the border on the west side of the property because there is a roadway that has been used for some years that the chief uses to get to his house.
I was content to sit in the back of the building with my box of Kleenex while Timothy taught the bible class and another brother preached. Before the closing prayer I was given the opportunity to talk with the congregation so I was sure to tell them all of you who help with the work and read the Notes send your greetings to them. That is always a crowd pleaser.
As we were walking out of the church building we said goodbye to Timothy and his little boy Philemon. His name is not pronounced like we say it in the US. It is pronounced “fill’-e-mon) with the “i” being short. It just sounds funny when they say it.
On our way back to Yendi I decided to pick up a couple electrical outlets since one of them in our office area had gone bad and shocks you when you try to turn on the outlet. These outlets are just like the outlets made for the United Kingdom with one three prong receiver to plug into. Most of the switches and plugs we can get around here sing like birds “Cheap, Cheap” if you get me. After purchasing the outlets we went to another store to purchase a voltage regulator to plug the Starlink receiver into because the electricity is so unstable. I got one rated for higher voltage so I can plug most anything I want into it.
Later this afternoon Kandie had me clean out the monkey cage. We hadn’t had time to do it and it really needed to be done for Skeeter’s sake and our own.
The time of this writing is 4:45pm and the temperature outside is 1020F. Like we have said before; we have two seasons; hot and hotter!
Hope you had a good day. We did! May God bless!
In His service,
Stephen, Kandie, and Skeeter
