Zorash called to let us know that she was going to be late coming to work today; normally that would annoy me but I was happy today because today was Yendi’s big market day. I needed her to go with me to help me find all the things that I needed.  When the workers come to work late they are supposed to stay late to make up their time; the only problem with my plan was that we were in the market during the hottest time of the day!  The high temperature for today was 109 degrees with a heat index of 115 degrees.  If we were in the states the weather service would be issuing heat advisory alerts but here everyone is just going about their business as usual.  The market was packed and the only thing that we did not find was limes.  I have lime juice that I can use but I do love fresh limes.  The limes here are the little Key limes.

We have been playing catch up with the receipts.  The end of February came and went without us getting a single receipt entered.  A few minutes ago I finished entering them.   So now we have a better idea of the money we have left and what we spent it on.

Nazo washed both vans and the green truck this morning.  We do not wash the vehicles because of the water shortage but since we got rain a couple days ago we don’t feel so bad about using the water.  Sometimes when we stay overnight in Tamale the hotel night watchman will wash the vehicle we are driving; he likes to wash it because Steve always gives him a little something for his pocket.

We will leave tomorrow morning to go down to Accra to be sure that we are at the airport waiting for our children when they arrive.  They also will start their trip tomorrow; our flight from Tamale to Accra is only 1 hour; they will travel all day and all night.  Steve has been busy putting the final touches on the bedrooms that they will be sleeping in.  I just saw him pass through with empty hangers for their room.  One of the bedrooms did not have a clock so we picked up one when we were in town.

It is time to fix supper so I will close for now.

Enjoy your day!

In HIS Service,

Steve and Kandie
