Red made the prototype of the form for the offering bag this morning. We were very pleased with the way it turned out. We commissioned him to make 50. We do not work with 50 congregations but some of the congregation are big and could use 2 of the offering bags. I sat down and made the bag to go on the frame. I lined the bag so that it would be stronger and I put a square bottom in the bag. It turned out looking very nice if I must say so myself! Ha! We will hire Timothy Niligrini to make the rest of the bags. Timothy is always looking for a way to make a little extra money. We are in no hurry for the bags because we do not need them until the last week of November.
Mr. Iddrisu has been cutting down the tall grass at the back of the property. He has been working on it for several weeks; a couple days ago when we walked to the back we noticed that the small grass was beginning to grow again so this morning we had Donkey spray around the buildings and the new building site. No need to let all that hard work go to waste.
Steve got all of the employees personal information copied; he is trying to get it all together so we can drop it off at the Enterprise office when we go to Tamale on Monday. There is no way that we really believe that we will be able to put that project to rest with just one trip to Tamale!
Steve also got the bushes trimmed up around the Child Center. I hated to see him cut them down because they had just started blooming but we were afraid to wait any longer for fear the rain would stop and the bushes would die.
When Steve checked on Timothy Niligrini this morning he said that he was feeling a little bit better but he still was too weak to go to the bush with us tomorrow. Steve called Kwabena, the new watchman who is also a member at Kulkpeni and asked him if he would go with us as our interpreter. He agreed to go. Kwabena speaks fairly good English but speaking and interpreting are 2 different things. He will be nervous but he will do a good job.
We needed the personal information on Timothy but we have not been able to get it from him because he has been sick and we didn’t want to get too close to him for fear it was contagious! So Steve called him to get the information he needed to fill out his form for Social Security.
We just got word that Howard Wallace, our friend, fellow Christian and faithful supporter of the work in Ghana passed away. He will be greatly missed! Our sympathy goes out to his family and friends.
Enjoy your day!
In HIS Service,
Steve and Kandie
