We didn’t have to travel far this morning ; our destination was Kpamang. This is the village where Brother Divine lives.  It is northeast of our compound about 10-12 miles. On the way we stopped at the village of Kulkpanga to drop off some juice and bread for the small group of brethren that meet in a house.  Plans were made to visit them on the 7th of November to encourage them.

Timothy was told that services at Kpamang were at 9 o’clock but it was nearly 10 before we got started.  Kandie was asked to teach the children’s class with the help of Sister Rebecca as her interpreter. Kandie and Rebecca had over 50 children in the class.  I always like to give the congregation the opportunity to tell me what subject they would like me to speak on. Today the subject was what the bible teaches about homosexuality .  This subject is on the radio  in Ghana because the president wants a bill passed that forbids the practice.  I explained this is not a political issue, it is an issue that God has warned mankind not to practice at length in the Old and New Testaments. I quoted Hebrews 13:8  that says “Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever.”

After closing the question was asked if kidnapping is discussed in the scriptures.   That was the first time anyone had asked me that. I found the Old Testament scriptures dealing with the subject and gave them to the audience.

Before going to visit the chief we gave Stephen, who is Rebecca’s husband and one of the church leaders, some crocheted hats to be handed out.  Boy, did that ever get the excitement rolling!  They love those hats!

On the way back to Yendi we carried three people with us. One man from Kpamang wasn’t feeling well and wanted to see a doctor in Yendi. The others were a man and boy we came upon down the road that had run out of fuel and were taking fuel back to their vehicle.  Both were happy for the lift but due to the Covid I had the people ride in the bed of the pickup.

This evening at Kulkpeni before services Timothy and I started teaching the children Hebrews 13:8. It is a short verse which is good for the age of children we are teaching .  Tonight we had nine children in attendance; they did well reciting the names of all the apostles.

Thank you for your continued support.  Together we make a pretty good team! May God bless!

In His service,

Stephen and Kandie Taylor
