We made it safely to Tamale.  We got here about 3:00 this afternoon.  Our first stop was to pick up the copier and 2 printers that we left with the repair man.  He said that all of them were working the way they were supposed to.  He even fixed the by-pass on the copier; it has never worked but then again we bought the copier used so what do we expect?  He tried them all out before we loaded them in the truck.  They seemed to be working well; we are most excited about getting the copier working correctly!

We saw a lot of wrecks on our way up to Tamale today.  Most of them were semi-trucks that were overloaded.

We went to the monkey sanctuary but we were disappointed.  They only have 2 types of monkeys in the sanctuary and green monkeys are not one of them.  Monkeys are very communal and a single green monkey by itself would never survive!  There is another monkey sanctuary between Kumasi and Accra; we will have to see what type of monkeys they have.  We know that the green monkeys are in Mole National Game Reserve but we are not sure if they have a safe place for monkeys.

When we got to the hotel the place was all a buzz with activity.  The owners are Indian and they had invited the whole Indian community to come for a party tonight.  The manager invited us to come to the party which did not start until 7:00 and eat with them but we declined.  We were hungry and did not want to wait until 7:00 or later to eat so we ordered our food and ate in the dining room.  It took an extra long time for them to prepare our food because they were so busy cooking for the masses.  While we were waiting on our food a Ghanaian guy came in and told us that he wanted to order a pizza.  I guess he thought that we were the owners; you know we all look alike to the Ghanaians.  He was surprised when we told him we were waiting to order our food too.

We stopped by the Cultural Center here in Tamale this afternoon; I needed a basket without handles to pack another item I had bought in.  It did not take long for me to get the basket.  If you can imagine that the basket was the only thing that I bought!  Surprise!  Surprise!

Our hotel room is very hot; the air conditioning went off a couple times; I think that the timer was set from the last occupants.  We had to have the manager come and reset it once; we reset it the second time.  Hopefully it will stay on for the rest of the night.

Take care and keep praying for us!
