The little goat slept on the veranda last night.  She no longer has diarrhea; she had left her calling card all over the veranda!  Why the watchmen put up with her sleeping on the veranda is beyond me!  I told Mr. Iddrisu that I wanted to put another necklace on her that said, “I want to buy this goat” and add a phone number.  He knows we want to slaughter the goat.  He said that it was not a good idea.

Gomda, the mechanic, had to come to the mission house this morning to get the old van.  It would not start and the battery was a good battery.  He said that it needed a new starter which he had to order from Tamale.  They will send it over on a bus and we will pay the shipping.  Better than having to drive to Tamale and hunt one down!

Red brought his new set of twin boys to the Child Center this morning.  They are so cute, fat and fine!  They look more like their mother than Red.  Red has 2 girls with this wife too.  The girls are probably 6 and 8 years old.  He said that they adore the babies and each of them has their favorite.  It is a good thing he had twins or the girls would be fighting over the babies.  I am sure that they are good little helpers.

Later this afternoon Red came back and picked up the handicapped tricycle that we have been using for a pattern.  He is going to rework it so we will have it on hand for the next crippled person that needs a bike.  It will have to have new brakes, wheels, seat, upholstery and a new paint job but it will be cheaper to fix this one up than to make a new one.

Steve spent a large portion of the afternoon trimming the trees; several of their limbs were growing down and they drug the top of the vans when we drove under them.  Yesterday the rack on the van caught one of the branches in the big mango tree and broke it out.  He was ringing wet with sweat when he finished working.  I was in the cool this afternoon working on quilt blocks!  I was the lucky one!

Mr. Iddrisu got the first coat of paint put on the new metal windows for the church building at Kpanjamba.  The church will be happy when they get them installed.

Thanks so much for everything you do for the work here in Ghana.  We really appreciate your help and continued prayers and support.

In His Service,

Steve and Kandie
