The cement wall has been opened, the pillars have been made and the gate is hanging.  Of course the pillar boxes are still on the pillars because the cement is not dry enough to remove the boxes.  The gate is hanging on the pillar but it is supported by a wooden structure.  The gates are solid metal so the goats cannot climb through and it will deter the children from climbing over.  The hinges on the gate are welded on; they are made from bent rebar.  The gate looks nice and straight.  Dawda, the mason will come back on Monday and remove the pillar boxes.  He will also put the pipe in the gutter and make a cement slab over the pipe so it will be easy to drive the motor king into the back field.  Nazo and Mr. Iddrisu helped the masons today.  They hauled gravel, cement, sand and hauled water.  Mr. Iddrisu is the motor king driver.  When they finished work Nazo said he needed some ibuprofen.

Zorash came today to make up for the day she missed earlier in the week.  Zorash and I set all morning sorting and sizing baby clothes.  We were not able to give away baby clothes last year because the Child Center was closed so we have lots of clothes this year.  The first thing we do is separate the clothes by size then we will sort them by boy /girl then we will put them together as outfits.  The Ghanaians call pants and shirts “Up and Down”.  We will then bag the clothes all the while keeping the sizes together.  We try to give the moms a nice assortment of clothes.  This time we have lots of handmade pillowcase dresses for the girls and handmade shorts for the boys so we will probably give the new clothes away first and then later give away the used clothes.

Red said that he has 10 of the metal communion tables finished; he is going to spray paint them before he brings them out to the mission house.  Because it is the rainy season he is not able to haul gravel and sand so the communion table project has come at the perfect time for him.  Right now he cannot make money hauling but he can make money welding.  He is happy to have the work.

Presently we are running on generator power because it is raining.  A little while ago I heard it faintly thundering; I was waiting for the electricity to go off.  Sure enough I did not have to wait more than 5 minutes before it went off.  Steve said he had not heard the thunder.

Thank you for all you do for us and for the work.

In His Service,

Steve and Kandie
