Red finished the handicapped tricycles and we hauled them to the mission house.  We put them in one of the new store rooms on the back side of the property.  These tricycles were bought and brought in from China.  They were not assembled and they did not have the hand pedals or brakes.  They did not even have the spokes in the wheel rims.  Red hired a bicycle mechanic to put the spokes in the wheels and to assemble the gears.  Red spray painted the first one he made.  He painted it red.  The tricycles are new and we were confused as to why we were buying paint and paying Red to spray them.  When we asked him about it he said that he was trying to make them match our colors at the mission house.  The mission house has terra cotta colored trim.  The tricycles are black and we like black just fine.  It saved him a lot of time and effort not to spray paint them.  It cost us the same amount per bike because we had already paid for the paint jobs.  Oh! Well, they are finished now and look good.

Mr. Iddrisu finally got his Ghana card but Nazo did not.  They told him to come back on Monday.  Nazo is pretty fed up with the whole thing but that is what you get when you keep putting something off!

Simeon, Timothy’s brother, did not come to work today; he had a funeral to attend.  His work is just part time and he is not doing anything pressing.  There always seems to be extra work that needs to be done.

It rained off and on all night last night.  Nazo said that his wife was so happy with the rain.  He said that she put out every container that she owned to catch rain water and everything was full to overflowing.  He said that when she ran out of containers she just sat down; she was disappointed that she did not have any more containers and it was still raining.  We just don’t realize how good we have it!

We made several trips to town today.  We took the air compressor to Mr. Adams, the fix-it man.  The idle had gotten out of tune.  It was set so high that it sounded like it was going to take off.  It was so loud that it hurt your ears to stay in the shed when it was running.  It only took him an hour or so to fix it.

Thank you for all you do and thank you for helping us with the work.

In His Service,

Steve and Kandie
