Mr. Iddrisu did not come to work today; he is still not feeling good; we sent him home yesterday because he was coughing and sounded terrible.  We suspect he has Covid but without testing there is no way to know for sure.

Zorash could not come to work today because she had a meeting in Tamale.  While she was in Tamale she called a couple times to let us know what was going on with the children that we had sent to the hospital in Tamale.  The family of the little girl with the hair lip needed money to buy meds before the surgery.  The mother of the little boy that has no use of his arms needed money for x-rays.  We sent both families mobile money through the cell phone.  It saved them a trip back to Yendi.  We are anxious to find out what they say about the little boy’s arms.  He can hold things but he cannot get his hands to his mouth; he cannot feed himself.  Both arms are affected.

The bicycle mechanic had 10 of the bicycles ready for us to pick up today.  We bought 10 more bicycles. Some of them were ready to send to the mechanic shop but the other 4 had to be put together.  They had given us a few bicycles that had gears; we rejected those bikes because they are too hard to get worked on.

The change of ownership papers finally came in today!  We went out to Timothy’s village and brought him to the mission house so he could ride the motorcycle home.  He was so very happy with the motorcycle.  We bought him a new helmet and we decided to pay for the insurance on the motorcycle so that he could ride it without having too many worries.  He said that he was going to wash it when he got it home; it was a little dusty from sitting in the store room.

I forgot to tell you that Divine, the evangelist’s, 4 year old daughter, got a snake bite.  It happened when they were working in Divine’s rice field but they did not know the little girl had been bitten.  We don’t know if she was too young to know she had been bitten or what.  On the 3rdday she started bleeding from all parts of her body, from her nose, mouth, eyes and skin.  Her leg that was bitten became hot and swollen.  Many of the snakes around here have hemotoxins which will not allow the blood to clot and the cause of death can be from bleeding out.  When they realized that it was a snake bite they rushed her to the hospital; it took 5 vials of ASV.  It is a wonder that she did not die!  She is much better now and is back to her old self running around and playing.  She has a scar on her leg where the snake bit her.

Please continue to pray for us and for the work.  Add a special prayer for our dear friend Sarah Pepper.  She has been in the hospital and we know she would appreciate your prayers!

In His Service,

Steve and Kandie
