Today has an unusual date: 2/22/22.  I wonder how often that happens.  It must be a sign!  Something special or something especially awful must be going to happen!  That is how superstitious  people think.  Ha!

We are happy that Zorash found someone in Yendi that can take photos straight from her phone.  She made copies of several more people that the Child Center has helped.  She had a lot more photos but they were in her old phone that stopped working correctly.  She is going to take the old phone to the man that is making the prints and see if he can reclaim any of the photos.

This morning after the Child Center closed we went to the market and bought food stuffs for the lepers.  They are always in need of food.  We try to help them with food and small gifts of clothes.  Today we took them rice, oil, tinned tomatoes, dried smoked fish, salt, bouillon cubes, a couple T-shirts, a ball cap and vest that have a bunch of zippered pockets.  They were pleased with the gifts and so happy that we remembered them.  The round houses that they live in are slated to be torn down; they will probably be sent back to their home villages to live.  They have been treated and are not contagious but they like to stay in Yendi because there are more people here and it is easier for them to beg.  They could do some other work like selling things but they would not make as much money as they make begging.  Today we found out that they have wives and children.

I have started another quilt top from the fabric scraps I bought the last time we were in Ghana.  It is taking me a bit longer than normal to put this one together because Steve has been too busy to iron behind me!  When we get to going I can sew almost as fast as Steve can iron and anyone that knows me knows that “I am in for SPEED!”

Timothy Niligrini and Matthew Unidon, the Church leader from Kulkpeni stopped by for a visit this morning.  Timothy needed to pick up the food money for the classes this week and Matthew came to pay off his debt.  Timothy’s wife Rita cooks for the monthly classes.

Please keep us and the work in your prayers.

In His Service,

Steve and Kandie
