Mr. Iddrisu did not come to work today because they were having a PTA meeting at his children’s school. Since he was not around to help in the Child Center we did not roast the grain for the weaning mix today. Hopefully Mr. Iddrisu will be back tomorrow and the ladies can roast the grain while he works in the Child Center.
We are in Tamale. We had to come over to do some business, we needed to pay the lawyer his retainer fee, get the insurance on the vehicles and the liability insurance for the property. We also needed to buy airplane tickets for our children and grandchild that are coming to visit us next month. There is also the matter of the auditor and picking up the annual report. While we are at the auditor’s office we will turn in the paper work on the mission property. Since we finally got the 50 year lease on the land we will have to start filing a yearly audit for the expenditures and building that is done on the property. It is also time for Steve to renew his Ghanaian nurse’s license so that is on our “To Do List”. Hopefully we will also be able to get the air conditioning in the van fixed. We barely had any air conditioning on the drive over this afternoon.
Divine called this afternoon and said that he wanted to come to Tamale tomorrow. We told him that we were in Tamale already and that when he gets here we can meet up with him and give him his transport money; he is working on paperwork for the churches.
We did not get to Tamale until almost 4:00; all we were able to get done was buying the tickets and going to a couple of the little super markets. We did have a wonderful supper at the restaurant that is attached to the hotel we are staying in. The Indian food was delicious!
Please keep us and the work in your prayers.
In HIS Service,
Steve and Kandie
