We picked up 8 more used bicycles today and started touching up the paint on them.  Even though they are used and the type that the evangelists and church leaders prefer, we want them to look as nice as possible.  While I was painting Steve was using the wire brush on the grinding wheel and knocking the rust off of them.  We only got 3 finished today; that means we only have 32 more to go.

Zorash called this morning and said that Mr. Alhassan, Yendi’s Social Welfare officer had given her the letter for the Child Center’s annual renewal.   As we were coming back from town we stopped at her house.  She is coming to work tomorrow to make up the day she missed earlier in the week.  I told her to wear clothes that she did not mind getting paint on because she was going to help us paint the bicycles.

It has been so hot today; usually when it is this hot it means that we will get rain; that is if it is the rainy season.  I can hear the thunder in the distance.  We would enjoy a nice rain; it would cool things off!

Dawda the mason is anxious to get started on the new building but we told him he would have to wait until Mr. Iddrisu was feeling better because we need him to drive the motor king.  We did not hear from Mr. Iddrisu today; I will have Zorash call tomorrow and check on him.

Rebecca, one of the church ladies from Divine’s village, came to the mission house this afternoon.  When we went to visit the church at Kpamang last week we promised to get her a push behind baby walker.  Her little girl’s feet are turned out some (not enough to need corrective surgery) and she is not walking yet.  She can stand and take a few steps with assistance.  Rebecca said that all of her friends’ babies that are the same age have already started to walk and some of them are perfect at walking.  We took her to town and bought a baby walker for her to try.  Hopefully it will give the child enough confidence to start walking.  If the baby does not walk in a couple months we will send her for an evaluation.

Thank you for all the love, prayers and support!  We love you and appreciate all you do for us and for the work in Ghana and all over the world.

In His Service,

Steve and Kandie
