My hands are hot!  I have been cutting up hot peppers.  I am going to try an experiment and see if I can get them to ferment like kraut and Kimchi.  I tried a bite of one and it was very hot so I decided to cut them in half and seed them to remove some of the heat.  I think all the heat that I removed is on my hands!  Ha!  It will be about 3 weeks before I know if it works.  I then want to grind them and make hot sauce.

Steve had to make several trips out to Kulkpeni today.  The mason needed a ride to the church property.  I only went with him once and that was the last trip of the day to pay the masons and return the things that we had rented.  The floor in the pavilion is beautiful and the patching on the veranda and inside the church building looks nice and strong.  One of the young men was sitting inside the church building to keep the village children from playing in the wet cement.  We are afraid that they will dig in the patches on the veranda.  The pavilion is not a problem because its doors can be locked.  We were surprised that Dawda was able to finish the job in one day.  When I paid him I told him that I should have fought with him on the price because I thought it would take more than one day to do the work.  He just laughed and said, “The price is like that because you wanted it fast, fast!”  I really shouldn’t complain too much because his labor was about 80 dollars.  We are happy to have that job behind us.  The church members will have to pour water on the floor for the next 3 days so that it will cure well.

Mr. Iddrisu needed some extra money so he wanted to work harder today than he normally does; sort of like overtime.  We set him to cleaning out the round house where we keep the generators, plumbing supplies, automotive supplies, large pots and water containers that we use during the seminar and extra hand tools.  It was a mess; we have not cleaned it out in years.  Then Steve made us hangers out of rebar so that we could hang the shovels, rakes, pick axes, head pans and post hole diggers.  We got most of the stuff off of the floor and now we can actually walk around and find stuff without digging.  It looks so nice.

Steve is outside putting the church bench together for the church at Nalongni that we will be visiting tomorrow.  I heard the blower running so I presume that he is cleaning out the truck too.

Thank you so much for your help!

In His Service,

Steve and Kandie Taylor
