The pigs arrived about 7:30.  They were raised at Divine’s village and he is the one that helped slaughter them and he brought them from the village to Kulkpeni in his motorking.  He said that he would have been here sooner but one of the pigs got out of the pen and the whole community had to chase the pig all over through the bush to catch him.  I told Divine that that was the smart pig; he saw what was happening to his fellow pigs and he was having no part of that!  Divine stopped by the mission house to show us the pigs; we put the fresh ginger and the local soap in the motor king and sent it to Kulkpeni with the pigs.  That saved us a trip.

We bought the chicken that the cooks will fry for those that do not eat pork.   We also checked on the P.A. system that was not working.  Mr. Adams was able to get it working again so Steve bought a couple wireless microphones for it.  When he got it out to Kulkpeni tonight and tested it; it worked fine for a few minutes and then cut off.  It will have to go back to the shop tomorrow.  We are not sure if we will have a P.A. system for the seminar or not.  Steve is contemplating buying a new one; he found one in Yendi.  He might buy it if it is going to take a long time to fix this one.  The one we are trying to get fixed is the one that we bought a few years ago for the men to use for evangelism.  If Steve buys another one he will keep it for the seminar.

We left for Tamale shortly after 11:00 this morning.  We called the auditor and he said that he was waiting for our arrival.  We also called his secretary and he seemed confused about us coming.  Steve asked him to please go and get the form that we needed to sign.  When we got to the office everything was shut up and no one was around.  We figured they were out trying to run down the forms we needed to sign.   We sat in the air conditioned truck and waited for 30 minutes or so before the secretary showed up.  The auditor did not come to the office today but with the secretary’s help we were able to sign and pay for the re-registration.  Thank you very much!

As we came into Tamale we stopped and picked up some 4 foot long aluminum cook spoons from Zorash’s sister.  We needed them for the seminar but they were not available in Yendi so Zorash asked her sister to get some for us.  We were happy to get our hands on them.  The cooks break at least one every year.

As soon as we signed the paperwork we headed back to Yendi.  We changed vehicles, picked up some tools and the items we needed to take back to Kulkpeni.  We are pooped!

Please pray for the seminar and all of those that will be coming in tomorrow.

In His Service,

Steve and Kandie
