Today was the monthly class for the evangelists and church leaders.  Steve said that 27 men attended the class and they reported that there were 10 baptisms and 5 restorations.

After class Steve and Timothy laid out the fabric for the shirts that Timothy will be making for the men.  The men will enjoy having new shirts.  The church leader from Nakpa is also a tailor.  He said that he would take his own piece of fabric and design his own shirt.  That is all well and good but it knocked Timothy out of the labor he would have gotten for sewing up the shirt.

I spent the morning making Kimchi (fermented Korean cabbage) and dill pickles.  I could not find my bay leaves so I went to Yendi market in search of them and was so happy that I actually found some.  I bought enough to last a while but who knows if I will be able to find them next time I need them!  Ha!  We found small cucumbers when we were in Tamale yesterday.  The pickles will also be soured by fermentation; not with vinegar.  The fermentation process takes between 2 to 3 weeks; they should be ready by the time our kids get here.  Did I mention that we are going to have company?  : )

Divine was in Tamale yesterday and most of the day today; he was picking up the paperwork for the churches.  The documents needed to be signed and he was able to get back from Tamale before the class ended and get some of the signatures.  Hopefully we can get the rest of the men to come in next week and sign theirs.

Nazo was not feeling very well today; he said that his lower back was hurting.  He asked for some Ibuprofen and Naproxen Sodium.  That should fix him up.  He has been worried about a swarm of bees that is trying to nest in the space between the metal shipping containers.  He is so very afraid of them.  They come to the container every year.  Steve killed them so now Nazo can rest easy!

Nana Bekum, one of the evangelists, was not able to come to class this month or last month because they are having tribal fighting in his area.  We will send his pay by mobile money but we are not sure whether or not he will be able to get into town to redeem it.  We wanted to go visit him in March but it does not look like that is going to be possible.

Keep Nana and the villages around him in your prayers.

In HIS Service,

Steve and Kandie
