We got a video a couple days ago of the little boy we sent to Nsawam.  He had severely clubbed feet; he also had a clubbed arm/hand and webbed fingers.  The doctors were able to straighten his legs and feet but they were not able to do anything about his arm.  He has pretty good use of his arm and hand; the doctors said they were afraid that if they did surgery he might lose what use he has of his arm.  He has braces on both of his legs and he has learned to walk with the aid of a tiny walker with rollers.  He is only a couple years old.  The mother said that he has to come home with a walker and that the health insurance will not pay for the walker.  The small walkers are hard to find.  One of the aunts has been looking for one and she was happy that she found one in Accra.  The family has exhausted their resources because they have to stay in Nsawam for 3 months so the child can learn to walk.  Thanks to your generosity we were able to send the money to buy the walker through mobile money.  We know that the mother is anxious for the child to get to come home!

This morning we had a visitor from the states.  Everett Huffard came to the compound to introduce himself.  He attends church with a dear friend of our family Gwen Dula.  Gwen lives in Memphis.   She has been faithfully supporting the work in Ghana for years and years.  Her father was one of the elders at Market Street and they started supporting my parents Royce and Cindy Reynolds in 1970.   Isn’t that a wonderful legacy; what dedication to the spreading of the borders of God’s kingdom.  We had a nice visit.  The guy that was with Bro. Huffard took our picture in front of the Child Center.

A new orphan came to the Child Center this morning.  The little guy lost his mother on Sunday.  The baby is 4 months old.  He was not doing very well.  He had been in the hospital but he was still terribly congested.  The child’s grandmother on the father’s side is going to take care of the child.  We advised her to take the child back to the hospital but she was reluctant to take him back because she had not finished all the nose drops.  Nose drops will not do anything for the chest congestion.

Mr. Iddrisu and Nazo spent the morning moving sand.  They are moving it from the old jobsite to the new one.  If we leave it in the field it will get scattered when it rains.

It is thundering and a storm is trying to form.  We only got a few drops of rain from the last storm but we got plenty of wind!  I better go fix supper before the electricity goes off!

In His Service,
