First thing this morning Steve and I went to town to buy white paint for Nazo and Mr. Iddrisu to use to paint over the ugly black waterproof paint.  We bought 25 gallons of paint.  This paint is so cheap; they call it emulsion paint but it is really like a white wash; if you rub up against it you will get it on your clothes.  The only good thing about the paint is that it is easily washed out of your clothes and off of your hands.  We are completely out of formula and are afraid that someone will need some before the big shipment comes on Sunday so we picked up a case while we were out.

The end of the month is almost upon us and the evangelist / church leader class is this week.  Steve needed large plastic bags for the men’s teaching aids; Amama sells plastic bags as a side job but she did not have any of the size that we needed for class so I had her go with me to town this morning to find the size we needed.

This morning Steve had to rewire my iron.  The thing had gotten so hot that it melted the plug and fused it to the socket.  This is not the first time we have had to replace the plug; I think that the iron might have an internal short but Mr. Adams the fix-it man has pronounced it fit for use.  Steve spent the afternoon getting his class material together, cleaning the van and working on the back up lights on the green truck.  He uses the van to haul the men back and forth to Kulkpeni for the class.

Zorash took off work today because she had to go somewhere; she will make up her day on Saturday.  Mr. Iddrisu took a day off earlier in the week; we thought that it might be to greet the people that attended Papa Zachariah’s wife’s funeral but he said that someone needed him to help start the process of getting their son married.  A delegation from the groom’s house has to go to the prospective bride’s family with gifts to ask permission.  The groom does not go.

They have been shooting guns at the palace all day long; I can hear them now.  They said that one of the YaNa’s (King’s) chief warriors died.  The chief warrior was a big man so they were shooting, drumming and dancing for him.  They will probably continue through the night.

Thank you for all the love, prayers and support.

In His Service,

Steve and Kandie
