Meri said that her son Aliu, the teenager that is in the hospital with what appears to be a stroke is not doing very well. Meri said that he still cannot walk; in fact she said that he cannot even move his legs or his feet. She said that he can move his hands but he cannot feed himself. The doctors took x-rays of his head and back; they said that they did not see anything on the x-ray of his head but did not tell them anything about the x-ray of his back.
Zorash had to go to a nearby village today to meet with one of her women’s groups. We are not sure what the meeting was about but she did not come to work this morning.
Nazo went to the office again today to see if they had printed his Ghana Card yet and he was told to come back later. He was not given any reason or excuse for the delay in printing his card.
I had some spare time today so I started making a new scrap quilt. I think that it will be pretty when I get it finished.
Amama and I thought that today was Yendi’s market day. When we finished in the Child Center we loaded up in the truck to go to the market. Meri told us that we were mistaken and that market day is tomorrow. OOPS! I guess we will try again tomorrow.
The peanuts Nazo planted on the back of the property a couple weeks ago have germinated and they are about 3 inches high. Mr. Iddrisu got his planted Monday. If the rains keep coming they will have a good crop this year.
The Ghana government has put out a terrorists alert! There has been some terrorist activity in our neighboring country and they want everyone to be especially careful. No one knows for sure what is the terrorist’s agenda but then sometimes I wonder if the terrorists themselves know their own agenda. Please pray for Ghana’s safety. Ghana has always been such a peaceful country that it would be a shame to have terrorists mess that up.
It is almost time for Wednesday evening Bible study so I will close for now. Hope you enjoy your day.
