Steve and I spent a good portion of the day ironing shirts and ties.  Tomorrow we will give each of the men that attend the monthly class a shirt and tie so that they will have something new to wear to the seminar at the end of November.  I have no idea how many ties Steve tied today.  We folded the shirts and pin them so they look like they came from the store.  We coordinate the ties to the shirts.  We have more ties than we do shirts so each of the men will get a couple ties of their choice.  The men always love getting the shirts and ties.  The monthly class is tomorrow.

We are excited that the masons and the workers are not coming to work tomorrow because we will be at Kulkpeni all morning and part of the afternoon.  The masons need a break and so do we!

Abochi and Red just left a few minutes ago.  Abochi is the carpenter; he came with the estimate of the building materials we will need to roof the training center.  We are suffering from “sticker shock”!  The cost of all building materials has gone up.  We gave Abochi the money for the lumber; he has a little lumber company so he will make sure that the boards are cut to his specifications.  Red finished making all the rebar frames for the lintels and the masons got all the lintel boxes made and filled with cement today.

We still have not seen the “official” building plans for the job.  Who knows what those men are doing.  If things keep going the way they are going we will have the building built before we get the “official plans”!  Maybe it is a blessing in disguise because with no plans there are no inspectors.

Zorash was back at work this morning so things were much easier at the Child Center.  We don’t like to work short-handed.

Timothy, the evangelist stopped by this morning so that we could edit the seminar invitation.  He translated it into the Konkomba language for us.  Most of the churches that will be coming are Konkombas.  We made a few English copies to distribute because there are 6 churches that do not speak the language of the Konkombas.  During the seminar we will have 2 interpreters, one will translate the English into Konkomba and the other will translate into Chokosi.  Steve got the invitations printed and addressed this afternoon.

Please keep us and the work in your prayers.

In HIS Service,

Steve and Kandie
