Last night around 6pm Timothy Niligrini called me and said that we wouldn’t be able to visit the congregation at Borido as scheduled today. After discussing the situation Timothy said he would contact some of the church leaders to see where we would be able to visit. At 7:30 pm He called back to say we were invited to come to Bincheratanga.

Bincheratanga is on the Bimbila Road that is south of Yendi.  A lot of the road has been resurfaced so it didn’t take but 40 minutes to arrive at our destination. The congregation is small and still meets in a school block. We expressed our appreciation to the church for their willingness to have us come on such short notice. The people were very happy to get the gifts we brought; a metal communion table with tablecloth, bible, metal box with padlock, and other items. It has been some time since we visited this church so we also gave them some crocheted hats. We gave extra hats so they will be able to give some to the villagers as well. There were a large number of children present compared to adults so I taught a lesson about Jesus feeding the 5,000 from John chapter six.  The boys here are accustomed to using a hook and short 3 foot line to catch small fish around the bridges during the rainy season.  The people here can relate to carrying some small dried/ fried fish and bread like Jesus fed the multitude.

I was glad Kandie and I had received the Covid -19 immunizations after visiting this congregation today. Several of the children were barking like dogs with a cough. No one wants to believe that Covid is around because there isn’t any testing going on.  There is a chance the kids don’t have it but you can’t help but have that idea in the back of your mind.

This afternoon our friend Red came by to deliver the handicapped tricycle that he refurbished for us. It looked nice! We are happy to have one on hand so if the need arises we can give it out.

Tonight at Kulkpeni I had enough time to go over the apostles with the children.  When it was time for me to speak to the adults out of nowhere it started to rain. It came a “toad strangler” downpour as Jerry Clower would say.  You couldn’t have heard a freight train with the rain hitting the tin roof. Finally, the rain slowed down and we had closing prayer and left before the next shower came.  Strangely when we got on the north side of town where we live there wasn’t a wet place on the ground and the stars were out.

That wraps up another Lord’s Day. Hope you had a good one.  May God bless!

In His service,

Stephen and Kandie Taylor
