This morning the evangelists and church leaders came in for the monthly classes. Steve got a break from teaching because Marcus and Taylor took care of both sessions today. Taylor presented the children’s class material and told the story of “The Tower of Babel” and Marcus taught “Ethics” during the second session. The “Ethics” session generated lots of questions! The guys did a great job and the classes were enjoyed by all!
The men were each given a bicycle tire and tube; they all have bicycles that they used to go from village to village. Steve tries to help keep the bicycles in good running condition.
Joseph Kumasi, the church leader from Nalongni is getting old and feeble, it is getting difficult for him to get around and make his way to Kulkpeni for the monthly classes. The church decided to start sending a new man to the classes, his name is Bernard. Bernard does not have a bicycle and he needs one to be able to come to the monthly class. Marcus and Taylor decided to buy a home use (used) bicycle for him so we took him to town after class and let him pick out the one he wanted. We then had it greased and had the mechanic put on the new basket, tire, lock, bell, seat and front rim. He was pleased with the bicycle.
We rested this afternoon while it was raining. After the rain stopped Steve picked up a couple bags of cement for the church at Jagrido. They needed the cement to patch a crack in their church building. We delivered the cement when we went to Jargido for evening Bible study. Taylor taught a very interesting lesson tonight about Jonah and our responsibility to others. There was a good question and answer period after his lesson.
Tonight Taylor and I (Kandie) put a bench in the back of the pickup and rode in the bed of the truck to and from Jagrido. It was much cooler in the back of the truck and we were not so crowded. We picked Timothy Niligrini up on our way to the village.
Thank you for all you do for us and for the work.
In His service,
Steve, Kandie, Marcus and Taylor
