Not much to report today; we have spent the bulk of the day in our hotel room.  Steve started and finished the monthly report and I got it edited.  I had planned on entering the rest of the receipts in the computer but when I looked for the memory stick that has the program on it I could not find it.  We hunted through all the carry-ons and computer bag but it was nowhere to be found.   We presumed that it got left in the spare lap top in Yendi.  I was sick about it and I even contemplated seeing if I could get a flight back to Yendi to make sure it was there and we had not lost it somewhere along the way.  Steve thought that was a bad idea.  I call that stick “The Brain”. It has been a while since I have made a back up copy of it; it was on my “To Do List”.  Finally we decided to call Mr. Iddrisu and tell him where the keys to our bedroom were and have him look at the other lap top and see if the stick was still plugged into it.  It took a bit of doing to get him to understand exactly what we needed and where to find the extra keys and what he was looking for when he finally got into our bedroom where the office is.  I am happy to report that the memory stick was still in the computer.  It made me feel better to know that we had not really lost it but I still wish I had it with us.

When we went to change money this morning we realized that the FOREX that we normally change money at has gone out of business.  We had to go to Osu (one of the areas of Accra) to change our money.  It was almost lunch time after we found a FOREX so we went to the Korean restaurant and ate far too much; it made fighting the traffic to get to Osu worthwhile!    While we were waiting for the restaurant to open I did a little shopping.

When we went for our morning walk we passed an open air market so we stopped and bought a watermelon and a Cape Coast pineapple.  The Cape Coast pineapples are our favorite.  They are a white pineapple and the sweetest of all the pineapples.  Each floor in this hotel/apartment has a kitchen that is shared with everyone on the floor.  The kitchen has a small stove, microwave and small washing machine.  Each room has its own refrigerator, small table and chairs, a small sofa, a couple plates, cups, and silverware.  There are 4 rooms on each floor; one of the rooms has 2 bedrooms and a sitting room.  I borrowed the knife from the kitchen to cut the watermelon and peel the pineapple.  I apologized to Steve for the way the pineapple looked.  The knife was so dull, I told him it looked like I had used my teeth to peel it.

Take care and please keep us in your prayers as we travel home.

In His Service,

Steve and Kandie
