We are back in Yendi!  Hurrah!  Our flight was scheduled to leave at 10:30.  We left the hotel a little early so I could stop at one of the vendors that sell souvenirs.  I decided to do a little more shopping before we left Accra.   Hopefully we will not have to make another trip down here before we come home in December.

Our flight left on time and Red was waiting for us at the airport.  While we were waiting at the airport Steve called Timothy Niligrini to see if the guys that were with us at the seminar had made it to Tamale.  We were pleasantly surprised when Timothy said they had not only made it safely to Tamale but he was already at home!

As we passed through Tamale we stopped at one of the vegetable sellers and bought some fresh vegetables and fruit.  It was past 4:00 by the time we arrived at the mission house.  We jumped in the truck and headed to town.  I had no intention of cooking; we went in search of a barbecued guinea fowl but were disappointed that the guy was not cooking them today.  Evidently it has been raining off and on today which makes barbecuing difficult.  We bought grilled beef instead.  I am still not cooking!  Ha!

It still looks like rain so we left the van in the yard instead of putting it in the garage; maybe it will rain and God will wash the van for us.

On the way back to Yendi Red filled us in on the recent murder.  A young man that was born in Divine’s village was killed a day or so before we got back to Ghana.  He has a twin brother.  The best any one can gather is that he had moved out of the village and was living in Yendi with a man from a different tribe.  He had loaned the man some money and was trying to get the money back so he could finish the work on his farm.  The last his brother heard from him was that the man owing the money had called him and told him the money was ready to be picked up but that he had to come to another village to get the money.  On the way to the village he was attacked, shot and killed.  The man that owed the money was nowhere to be found so the police suspected that he had something to do with the murder.  Reinforcements were sent from Tamale to hunt for the man.  Yesterday 2 men were taken into custody for questioning in the case.  Maybe they will find out who was behind the killing.

Thank you for all you do for us!

In His Service,
