Today is our anniversary. We are celebrating 44 years; anyway that is what Steve told me. Ha! That is another thing that I do not keep up with. Steve is the one that remembers and tells me when it is and how many years it has been. Steve wanted to come to Tamale to spend the night so he could take me out to eat at the Indian restaurant that is attached to the hotel. I love Indian food! We just finished our supper and came back to our room; the electricity has been off so the room is extremely hot. We had hoped that by the time we had our supper it would be cooler in the room; the air conditioner is working but it is a very small unit and takes a while to cool the room. Our supper was all and more than we had hoped for!
Steve has gone out to the road to a little electric shop to buy a socket adapter for the plug. Without the adapter we cannot plug in electronics or the mini-fridge in our room. We usually travel with a couple but we forgot it today.
Today was class day for the evangelists and church leaders. Two of the congregations requested help with their church buildings. They needed cement to plaster the outside of the buildings to protect them from the rain.
Thirty men attended the class today. They enjoyed getting the shirts and ties. They are always so appreciative of the littlest gift. Steve passed out and explained how to use the class material about Noah and the stuffed 2 faced dolls that teach the plan of salvation. The dolls have a sad face on one side which depicts the non-Christian and his lost state and the other side has a happy face which is how one feels after finding the truth and becoming a New Testament Christian. Steve spent the second session going over the marriage tract that he has worked on the past couple weeks.
Please add Lindsay, our daughter-in-law to your prayer list. She is in the process of passing a 5mm kidney stone. The doctor is going to give her a couple days to pass it on her own and if that does not work they will have to remove it.
Aaron, our son is feeling a bit better today after his back surgery.
Also continue to pray for our niece Tera and her battle with cancer.
Thank you for all you do for us and the work!
In His service,
Steve and Kandie
