We have been running around like chickens with our heads cut off today!  We were supposed to have a meeting at 9:00 this morning with the employees but Divine, one of the board members, did not arrive until almost 10:00.  We did not have much to tell the employees except we wanted them to know how much of a raise they could expect in January.  We gave everyone a mineral (carbonated drink sort of like coke) and a package of cookies which they call biscuits.  They have never seen a biscuit; pour guys!

The electrician that worked on the lights of the green truck did not have something connected right because we had no brake lights so Steve took it back to them this morning.  We picked it up a few minutes ago and everything seemed to be working well.

Neither Meri nor Amama were at work today which is not what we like to see 2 days before we leave Yendi but it is what it is!  When the Child Center closed Zorash came up to the mission house and did a little bit of ironing for me.

We spent a good portion of the morning organizing and putting things away that we do not want covered with dust when we come back.  We got most of the stuff from the seminar put away.  There are still some of the 5 gallon plastic containers that the oil was in that need to be washed; Meri will do that when she comes back to work on Tuesday.

We got the taxes figured and Mr. Iddrisu got them paid and we made a bank deposit so that there would not be too much loose cash lying around the mission house.

Sayibu, the electrician for the house, finally came this afternoon; he fixed the problem with the switches at the Child Center and he also put in a new breaker on the mission house.

Steve bought the extra electricity that will be needed while we are gone.  That is the only problem with a pre-paid meter; you have to make provisions for enough units to cover all the time you are away.

We got the final loads of clothes washed.  I cleaned out the refrigerator and sent some food items home with Zorash; she was happy to get the things.  She said that she was not doing anything on Saturday, which is one of her days off and that she could come and help us finish getting ready to go; isn’t that sweet?  I might just take her up on her offer; we will have to see how much we can get done tomorrow.

Have a good day!
