Our taxi driver was here on time this morning which gives us hope for tomorrow morning when we have to leave at 5:30. I told him that we would call him at 5:00 to be sure that he was up! Don’t want to take any chances on that one!
Every day we have been at the seminar, we have been stopping in the kitchen to greet the cooks and to thank them for all their hard work cooking for the masses. In some areas of Ghana having a space between your teeth is a sign of beauty. Those of you who know me know that I have a space between my front teeth. When we introduced ourselves to the cooks the first day they commented on the space between my teeth. Three of the other ladies had space between their teeth and they were quick to point out that we were the same because we all had spaces. They laughed when I told them the space made it easier to spit!
Steve wanted to do something special for the ladies so this morning we bought them soft drinks and ibuprofen. They thought that gift was grand! It made their day; especially when we told them that the drinks were only for women; not to be shared with the men!
It rained heavily today; at one point it was raining so hard that it was hard to hear the speakers. Fortunately it did not rain while the people were going and coming to the seminar.
Most of the people will leave the seminar tomorrow after lunch but our guys have to stay another night because of the bus schedule. Please pray that everyone gets home safely.
Have a great day!
In His Service,
Steve and Kandie
