By the time we finished sieving the peanuts it was almost 11:00.  We had about 50 pounds to do so it took awhile. It was a good thing Steve helped me or I would still be working on them.

This afternoon we went to the metal worker and picked up the new sieve that we ordered yesterday.  They make them from scrap metal and the screen is made from the metal mesh that covers a large filter like an air filter from an 18 wheeler.  These people are masters at recycling.  While we were out this afternoon we also bought a hand operated bicycle tire pump for Abruwa.  Abruwa is one of the church members at Kulkpeni.  She has been crippled since birth.  Years ago Papa Jerry Reynolds gave her a handicapped tricycle.  She spends most of her day in the tricycle.  It has hand pedals and brakes.  The neighborhood children push her around from place to place; they also push her to church.  We help her with the upkeep on the tricycle and with tires and tubes.  A couple weeks ago she put in a request to have the seats reupholstered.  We gave her the money for the upholstering; she also asked for a tire pump.  I guess she has to borrow one when her tires are low.

When we went to town this afternoon we noticed that men were working in the street.  They were putting in more speed bumps!  Please as if we don’t have enough of them already.  Besides the road has so many potholes there is no way you can go fast without ruining your vehicle.  The teacher that died a couple weeks ago was killed in the area where they are putting the speed bumps.  Two motorcycle riders had a head on collision.  Now really is that the fault of the road or the drivers?  Maybe if they would fix the road the drivers would not have to dodge potholes and could stay on their own side of the road and while I am complaining, maybe just maybe, the people could pen up their goats and sheep so drivers did not have to dodge them too!  Now let’s talk about the vendors that set up to sell their wares on the side of the road and there are no sidewalks so the people have to walk in the road too!  And no one is watching the children; they roam up and down the streets at will!  It is treacherous driving through town!

I made bread dough today and we had homemade pizza for lunch.  Not only do we have to make our own dough, we also have to make our own sauce.  I made extra dough so we could have a pan of cinnamon rolls.  This will be our “carb” loading day!  Maybe we will run tomorrow!  NOT!

Nazo seems to be feeling some better and he asked if he could have a little extra work tomorrow; that is a good sign.

Have a great day!

In His Service,

Steve and Kandie
