We chased dust again this morning.  Amama still could not come to work because her visitors were not going to leave until 2:00 and she was expected to feed them before they left and take them to the bus station.

We are still waiting on the paperwork from Jakpumba church.  We decided that if we had not heard from them before noon we were going to drive out to the village to see if we could find some of the church members to sign the documents.  Timothy talked to one of the church members several times and was assured that they were preparing the documents.  This morning when he called the guy he told him that he was no longer a member of the church and that he did not think that he would start attending again.  Here is the problem.  Timothy came to the mission house this afternoon at 3:00 and we headed out.  The village is 55 kilometers from Yendi but most of the road is good.  When we got to the village several of the church members had gone to the river to fish.  We had to wait a while for them to return.   Isaac, one of the members, sat with us and helped us decipher the information that is in their record book.  The biggest problem is that the steady members do not read or write.  They have to rely on the students that come home on break to do the accounts for them.  We muddled through and got the signatures we needed.  Divine will do the rest and will hopefully take the documents to Tamale tomorrow.

We did not get back to the mission until 6:30.  Divine was waiting for us at the gate.  He came in and we visited for a while; trying to figure out how much money he needed to take when he went to Tamale.  He is funny; he likes to take the “Big” men a gift of yams when he goes.  He says that it keeps them happy and allows him to freely talk to them.

It is time for supper; I know it is late to be eating supper, it is 8:30 but I am hungry!

Have a great day!

In HIS Service,

Steve and Kandie
